Welcome to the Swiss Association of Asset Managers (SAAM)

The SAAM is the leading national trade association of independent asset managers in Switzerland. Membership in SAAM stands as a seal of approval for serious and high-quality services in the field of assets management.

Independent asset managers join the SAAM because:

• ... they want to be part of the sector's self-governing body. This means that they voluntarily obligate themselves to adherence to strict rules that foster serious and professional assets management practices. The members thus make a significant contribution to the sector's good reputation, to a clean Swiss Financial Centre and to the protection of investors;
• ... because they wish to dedicate themselves to promoting the interests of independent asset management within the Swiss Financial Centre as well as within legislation. As the leading national trade association, the SAAM wields the political strength necessary to ensure that the profession of independent asset managers is heard from in Switzerland and abroad and to effectively stand up for them;
• ... because they wish to join the SAAM self-regulatory organisation (SRO). Independent assent managers in Switzerland are subject to the Federal Law for Anti-Money Laundering Act (Geldwäschereigesetz (GwG)), which stipulates that they must join an SRO or place themselves under direction supervision by the Swiss Financial Market Supervisor Authority (FINMA);
• ... because the SAAM is the centre for expertise for questions pertaining to independent assets management. Not only is the SAAM available to its members for advice and assistance and information, but to everyone interested in the industry. The SAAM is therefore the first point of contact for authorities both within Switzerland and abroad, for partners in the financial centre, for investors as well as for media representatives;
